📋 Company Goal
💁♀️ My Role
I worked as a Lead UX/UI Designer where I collaborated closely with the project managers, developers, and QA. I gained insight into the market, clients, and user needs of the products to create an intuitive, easy-to-use and beautiful experience. Owned the end-to-end user journey and all aspects of design execution from vision, ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to final production.
As the sole lead designer, I worked on various projects such as designing new features, dashboards, interfaces and creating the design system for both products. I was heavily involved in the whole production process from ideation to design handoff and additionally design QA.
Re-designing the DailyChex mobile application.
Enhancing user experience MeazureUp started off as a software company that was mostly used by restaurant owners to find a way to audit their store and services. Since then, they have been trying to expand into other markets and industries. With this new direction in mind, I wanted to focus on creating easy to use, customizable, and intuitive experience that could be used in any industry and by any client.
One of the first few projects that I worked on when I joined was re-designing the DailyChex mobile application.
DailyChex is a digital checklist solution that is being used by store managers to manage and conduct checklists for their stores. Since DailyChex first launched the company had been slowly adding more features and different types of checklists for users to use such as scheduled checklists to one-time checklists. Unfortunately, this overload of new features was not built for the old UI and was not efficient in displaying all the details that users wanted to see in an intuitive manner.
With this problem in mind, I began to re-design the mobile application.
Before
The interface had all the details provided regarding the lists. The details did not allow users to have quick access to the features and checklists.

After
The new interface has a mix of clean and intuitive design and feel. Allowing users to have quick access to the features and checklists.

Audit Snapshot feature update
AuditApp is a tool that is used to help Auditors move from paper-based auditing to using a digital solution. MeazureUp wanted to take advantage and add features that were not available with the traditional paper-based methods. Features such as being able to review the previous audit scores and seeing updated information about the action items that are listed from the stores.
To maximize product use and also encourage good user behavior practice, we worked on adding a new feature of a detailed overview page.
Key details that the overview of details would include
Last few audits scores
Critical Tasks
Repeat Offence
Actions that are created (Completely new feature)

Implementing a design system with flexibility for responsive design
Since MeazureUp worked with different apps and clients, there were many devices involved, like desktops, tablets, and smartphones. I wanted to make sure designs were responsive and gave users a consistent experience across all of them.
Working with a range of applications and clients meant designs had to work seamlessly across multiple devices, from desktops to tablets and smartphones. To ensure a consistent and enjoyable user experience, it was essential that every design be fully responsive.
Here’s a snippet of a project where I designed a responsive dashboard to adapt across different devices!

Design System
Since MeazureUp had worked with various different part-time designers in the past, I found that there was a lack of design styles being used which then caused a lack of overall visual consistency and also major design accessibility issues as well.
In order to fix this, I immediately expressed that I wanted to create and establish a proper set of guidelines by creating a beautiful design system.
Since Meazureup was heading in the direction of making both AuditApp and DailyChex be interdependent products. While creating the core design system, I wanted a similar set of design guidelines but with UI I was to still have a different feel for them.
The design system that I created also defines components specific to both iOS and Android devices. Creating the design system allowed me to streamline the design process and in turn speed up the design and development process.

Takeaways 💁♀️
I love being a UX and UI designer because of the ability to design seamless solutions in order to create the best possible experience for others. Joining MeazureUp and being the first full-time designer allowed me to challenge myself and the company with my solutions which you can see in these projects.
